Great Places to Visit

There are some fantastic places to visit both local and a little further away. In fact there are so many to choose from that you may need quite a few visits to fit them all in .

 

Here are just a few:

Within 10 minutes you could visit:

Iznajar Pueblo Blanco: The Parroquial Church of Santiago, Patio de la Comedias y San Rafael,the Lake of Iznajar

       

                                                                                         

Rute town: home of the Anis Museum and the famous chocolate factories. Here you can see a huge model of Bethlehem in chocolate!

Lucena is just 30 minutes away and here you can visit the amazing Baroque hermitage in Lucena.

In Salinas, 20 minutes away, you can visit a local artesan shop where you can watch the beautiful things being made

                       

Within 60 minutes you can visit:

Granada with the fabulous Alhambra Palace and the Moroccan quarter

Within 90 minutes you can visit the fabulous Cordoba Mezquita Mosque...breathtaking!!

 

It is almost impossible to portray this masterpiece of architecture appropriately in photographs. The repeating arches and soaring ceiling are balanced by exquisite detail decorations

 

                                                              

 

 

 

The Patio Festival in Cordoba is a unique opportunity to step into private homes, whose owners-after caring for hundreds of plants and flowers all year long-open their patios to the public in early May

 

Within 2 hours is Seville                          

 Seville is the Capital of Andalusia, region  famous for its bullfighters, Flamenco dancers and singers. Seville inspire d Mozart, Rossini and Bizet -- operas like: "El Barbero de Sevilla", Carmen, etc. were     dedicated to this city.
